deadpresidents:

Here is a rebloggable (new word?) version of the answer that I gave in rhyme.

Anonymous asked: Could you summarize each president and their presidency in a few sentences? probably the hardest thing anyone has ever asked me to do, so I’d like to see how you’d do it! thanks for making…

Po makes his public debut with his mother Lun Lun and older brother Xi Lan at the Atlanta Zoo on March 15, 2011.

(Make sure you also watch the end, around 1:15 minutes. It’s hilarious).

RS 500 Challenge update: I’m going pretty slowly through these lately. Only numbers 5 and 6 (Rubber Soul and What’s Going On?). Still I’m enjoying it. It’s nice music to listen to when I’m doing my large amounts of homework.

Pretty excited for this movie! Looks really good.

Tonight I leave you with Like a Rolling Stone by Bob Dylan.

I’ve been listening to Highway 61 Revisited a lot lately thanks to the RS 500 Challenge, and this song just never gets old (at least, not yet!).

It’s been a particularly gloomy and depressing day.

It hasn’t helped that I’ve been listening to this all day:

This is a really cool site. I’ll post my first attempt at one of these later (once I find a way to get a good picture of it), but for now go look at these “newspaper blackouts” that are actually good!

tumblrbot: WHERE WOULD YOU MOST LIKE TO VISIT ON YOUR PLANET?

Somewhere extremely haunted. Or a really cool cave. (A really cool haunted cave would be ideal.)

The challenge: Listen to all of albums on Rolling Stone’s 500 greatest albums OF ALL TIME.

The specifics: Begin at number 1 (because if I get bored halfway through, at least I’ll have listened to some good stuff). I’m also trying to listen to each album enough times to really get a feel and appreciation for it. I started this on March 4. Hopefully I can stick to it!

The progress: So far I’ve listened to—

1. Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band - The Beatles

2. Pet Sounds - The Beach Boys (Hence my first post)

3. Revolver - The Beatles

4. Highway 61 Revisited - Bob Dylan

Thoughts: I’ve only just started listening to 3 and 4, so I’ll hold off of my thoughts on those. But I’ve really loved both Sgt. Pepper and Pet Sounds (although I think I might prefer Pet Sounds). Both are amazing records. Also beginning this challenge has really made me more relaxed and happier overall. Must be all the good music :)
